WHAT IS TEEN CHALLENGE?

Teen Challenge began 1958 when David Wilkerson felt God had called him to help hurting and addicted young people in New York city. Now, Teen Challenge has become international in scope with 200 ministry centers in the USA and Puerto Rico, and 150 centers in 67 nations around the world. Teen Challenge continues to offer hope through the power of Jesus Christ to a generation of desperate people with life-controlling problems.

WHAT IS THE GOAL OF TEEN CHALLENGE?

The goal of Teen Challenge is to evangelize people with life-controlling problems with primary emphasis on helping those involved with drugs and alcohol. The rehabilitation program is designed to initiate the discipleship process that will enable students to function as Christians in society, applying Biblical principles to relationships in the family, local church, chosen vocation and the community. Teen Challenge endeavors to help individuals become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, well, and spiritually alive.

WHAT IS THE SCOPE OF TEEN CHALLENGE?

Teen Challenge has established over 200 centers in the United States as well as centers in approximately 65 foreign countries. Additional centers are being opened in countries around the world that are asking for help with their drug and alcohol problems.

WHAT PROGRAMS DOES TEEN CHALLENGE OFFER?

Trained teams of Teen Challenge workers reach out to addicts, gang members, troubled persons on the streets, etc., with a message of hope and deliverance.

REHABILITATION:

A one-year highly structured resident rehabilitation program is offered to those who voluntary submit to enter the program. The program emphasizes spiritual development but those include vocational training.

PRISON WORK:

WHAT IS THE REPUTATION AND SUCCESS RATE OF TEEN CHALLENGE?

“ I speak from more than 20 years of knowledge of the organization when I tell you, Teen Challenge works. It is literally changing lives of young Americans from every walk of life. The work and dedication of Teen Challenge deserves the commendation of every citizen” Ronald Reagan

“Teen Challenge is one of the most effected drug rehabilitation programs with every record of success”
